Lydian Mode: Hopefulness, Rise, Celestial, Heavenly
John Williams "Jurassic Park": Bbmaj, Cmaj/Bb (Lydian), Gmin, Fmaj, Ebmaj

Phrygian Mode:
Great example from Miles Davis: https://youtu.be/F3W_alUuFkA?t=69
E Phrygian: Play all the notes of C major starting on an E
Has  a distinct darkness from two semitone clusters: b2. 3, and 5 b6. Think dorian scale/chords from whole step below. Great phrygian sound 1b245 or 1b256. Has lots of mystery and tension but weird how if you sit on it it doesn't need to resolve. Can ALSO think of as Maj7 chord a half step up

Dorian Mode: brightest of the minor modes. It's the minor scale after it's heard some good news. The natural 6th adds that tasty bit of flavour to the minor scale that's heard in a lot of rock, folk, blues, and some metal
Example: Eleanor Rigby https://youtu.be/HuS5NuXRb5Y?t=14
