This year we are presenting the fabulous Cole Porter show "Anything Goes" directed by Valerie Easton (many credits with the Arts Club). This is a great show to bring students to.

Introduce your music students to the wonderful music of Cole Porter - so many songs you'll recognize from "You're the Top" to "It's De-Lovely", "I Get a Kick out of you", Blow, Gabriel Blow" and of course the title song, "Anything Goes". These are songs that cross over from Jazz band to Concert Band to Choir. Above all, this is a dancing musical - tap, jazz, ballet...it's full of dance!!

This is wonderful opportunity for your students to see a semi professional production in their own community. (the Massey Theatre)

I know first hand how much work it is organizing a field trip to a show, but I also know how wonderfully this can create a sense of community amongst your students and with you.

We'd like to make it even more tempting for you to bring your students to one of our performances. With that in mind, we'd like to offer the following...

Special Pricing Offer for Anything Goes

  • $24 Tickets to Preview Shows, April 6-7 ($14 per ticket savings), or;
  • Special Discounted Rates for Regular Shows based on estimated class size
Other Special Officers:
  • Free transportation for groups of 40+ (bus provided to/from the school)
  • One ticket for free with every 10 sold to account for chaperones.
We have also been going back and forth on the option of scheduling a one-hour discussion with Artistic Director Valerie Easton and potentially Music Director James Bryson to discuss Cole-Porter's music and Anything Goes specifically, before the show opens. The date is TBD though it would have to be in the second or third week of performances.

If this of greater interest than the transportation option, I could put you directly in contact with Valerie and Chelsea to discuss further as they had some thoughts on what this could look like, potentially with an accompanying pianist to demonstrate some of the concepts.

I really urge you to consider bringing your students to this great production. You'll be glad you did!
